The shooting of the short film “Abbraccianti” by Nicolas Liguori concluded on Thursday, April 10, 2025, produced by Les films du Nord (France) and Fluid Produzioni (Italy).
The filming took place in the municipalities of Andrano and Diso and at the Ientu Film studio in Depressa.
The animated short, created using rotoscoping technique, tells the story set in a small town in southern Italy, where a barber recounts to his customers the events that led to the rebellion of African laborers: while working in the watermelon fields, one of them, Mariam, suffers from a severe illness.
